The June 25th 2015 United States Supreme Court decision to up held the application of disparate impact under the Fair Housing Act has had a significant effect on Property Management firms.  Join us as Jeana Poloni from the Loeffler Law Group discusses the impacts this decision has had on the property management industry. She will explain the difference between Disparate Impact and Disparate Treatment.  Jeana will discuss how your firms policies, practices, rules or other systems that appear to be neutral may result in a disproportionate impact on a protected group which may result in a claim against you.  You do not want to miss this discussion!  

Jeana K. Poloni joined the Loeffler Law Group in 2011 after working for the office of the City Attorney in Spokane Valley, Washington.  Her practice emphasizes residential and commercial landlord-tenant litigation, housing discrimination complaint defense, and real estate litigation.  She is a regular speaker and author on topics related to fair housing and landlord-tenant law.

Jeana recieved her law degree cum laude from Gonzaga University School of Law in 2010.  During law school, she served as an extern to Commissioner Wasson of the Washington State Court of Appeals, Division III.  She also interned at Davis Wright Tremaine LLP in Portland after studying international law in Florence, Italy through Gonzaga’s study abroad program.

During law school, Jeana was actively involved in the Women’s Law Caucus.  After graduating from law school, she became an active member of the Spokane County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division from 2010-2011.  She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the University of Utah Seattle Alumni Chapter.  Jeana is a member of the Washinton State Bar Association and King County Bar Association
